As a math intervention teacher, I will be working with students in grades Kindergarten thru Fifth Grade. We will be using AVMR, Add+Vantage Math Recovery, to assess and plan interventions for students within the classroom and in small groups. I look forward to working with the students and teachers to develop a strong number sense in all of our learners!
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
My teaching career began when I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in December, 1999. I then began working at Valley View as the permanent building sub, which led into a 3rd Grade teaching position at Valley View in 2000. I taught third grade for thirteen years! In 2004, I earned my Master's Degree in education from Viterbo University. I then earned my Math Recovery Specialist License in 2012. The following school year, I became the math interventionist. This next chapter of my teaching career has been extremely exciting. I thoroughly enjoy facilitating students develop a deeper mathematical understanding.
